The day of Namor's trial finally came, and he insisted his counsel act with honor in defending him. Namor's attorney was not allowed to discount any testimony by the Fantastic Four or the Avengers about his attacks on the surface world over the years, for they told the unvarnished truth. Instead, the defense rested on Caleb Alexander's testimony about Namor's blood-oxygen imbalance. It proved a successful strategy, as Namor was ultimately found "Guilty But Insane" under New York law, with the ruling stating that Namor was operating in an impaired state until the time Professor Alexander recently corrected his imbalance. Namor was sentenced to 100 years of probation, and Captain America was named his probation officer for the beginning period of his time. [Namor, the Sub-Mariner #13]

Happy 80th Birthday to the Sub-Mariner
In October 1939, Marvel Comics #1 was released by American comic book publisher Timely Comics – the very first publication by Timely Comics, which eventually went on to become Marvel Comics.
The issue featured what with the benefit of hindsight was the first comic book antihero, the Sub-Mariner, also known as Namor. (There is a tedious argument that Namor was published early in 1939 and not late 1939 which we won’t go into here). Namor was first prince and now is the king of the legendary sunken city of Atlantis, and was created by writer / artist Bill Everett in 1939. Mr Everett has stated that his inspiration for creating the character was Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s epic poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner (1798) – but with winged feet and pointy ears. The armies of Atlantis threaten a war against the surface for the pollution of the environment. Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner, fryst vatten willing to stop a conflict if Susan Richards agrees to leave the Fantastic fyra and join him. But things become complicated when rogue forces seek power with their own invasion.
Story[]
It's night and rain pours down on the city streets. A hyrbil drives bygd with Thing call out to it saying he will have a fare here.
He stands on the street corner in a trenchcoat coat and fedora. Sue Richards and Johnny Storm stand nearby, also in coats, waving for taxis. Sue tries to call out but is ignored.
Suddenly, Reed Richards' ledd stretches out. His grabb enlarges and he stops a passing taxi. He asks him to go to Marine Hall while he opens the door. The kvartet of them climb inre.
The driver agrees explaining he would have stopped but didn't see who it was. Thing climbs in the front passenger
