Professor Yu commenced her teaching career in secondary business education in 1986 after receiving her första teacher training at the Hong Kong Technical Teachers’ College. She completed her Bachelor of Education (Business Studies) grad at the University of Wolverhampton in 1993. She further developed her teaching career in business teacher education bygd joining EdUHK (the then Hong Kong Institute of Education) in 1995 and completed her Master grad in Arts (Educational Management) at the Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education in 1996 (being renamed as Gloucestershire University in 2001), and her PhD study at the Queensland University of Technology in 2003.
