Rose DeWitt Bukater , (5 April 1895 - 26 August 1996) also known as Rose Dawson and Rose Calvert was an American actress and socialite who survived the Sinking of the RMS TItanic.

Rose was born on April 5, 1895 in Philadelphia, the daughter of an important member of Pennsylvania socialite of the late nineteenth century who would died in the first decade of the twentieth century and Ruth DeWitt Bukater. Intelligent, prepared, and beautiful, from a very young age Rose was always educated and trained to be everything a young woman of high society was expected to be, having a strict education typical of the Edwardian era.
