Stephanie Cantu
Stephanie Cantu is Co-Founder of Empowered Minds. She is a mindfulness expert, mother, educator, and certified Learning Behavior Specialist.
Stephanie’s expertise includes performance coaching and mindset training for a wide range of applications. A signature theme throughout her work is an unwavering commitment to improving the mental and emotional well-being of young people through mindfulness and visualization training.
Her personal success managing anxiety and depression using these techniques inspired a bold vision for Empowered Minds.
Before founding Empowered Minds, Stephanie and her business partner Kristin created Happy Spots, a meditation and mindset training kit for kids and teens.

About Stephanie
Stephanie began her career in the financial industry in 2013. Before joining S&D Capital in January 2017, she worked for Impact Credit Union as a Member Representative.
With an extensive service background, she will surely enhance the SDC experience and “client-first” attitude.
Stephanie will be primarily located in our Clyde Branch, where she will provide administrative support and exceptional client care and service. Her role is crucial in making the office operate in a smooth and efficient manner. Her warm and friendly demeanor will ensure we maintain and build relationships for years to come.
Stephanie, her husband John, their three children – Christian, Ian, and Avery – and three grandchildren are all born and raised in the Fremont / Clyde area. She has a large family and circle of friends that she enjoys spending time with, especially her twelve nieces and nephews.

Stephanie Cantu, MD
Background
Stephanie Cantu, MD is a board-certified cardiologist at the Emory Heart and Vascular Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at Emory University School of medicin. She completed her medical school training at Harvard Medical School. She continued on to internship and residency in Internal medicin at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital. She followed her California roots to excel in Cardiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, where she received the Cedars-Sinai Circle of Friends honor for her humanism and commitment to patient care, Cardiovascular Fellow of the Year award, and was selected to serve as Chief Cardiology Fellow, prior to completing additional training in advanced cardiovascular imaging at Emory University.
Dr. Cantu enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, an Emory Radiation Oncologist, and their two children.
