Orleans smooth melodic pop-rock has stood the test of time and produced timeless classic hits like Dance with Me and Still the One (both Top Six chart hits in ) along with Love Takes Time (which reached #11 in ).

The band was formed in Woodstock, NY in by Hall and the late Larry Hoppen with Lance soon to follow. They released their first album in and have subsequently had numerous best-selling albums over the years including Let There Be Music, Waking and Dreaming and Forever. The band still tours consistently to great acclaim.

Today is a very special day for me and, seeing it coming, I didn’t want it to pass without at least trying to maximize its potentials, so I asked Rev. Mitch if I could have a little podium time. The long version of the story I have to tell you could fill a book and maybe it will someday, but I only have a few minutes here today, so I’ve written this Reader’s Digest version, to keep me on task.
